I've wanted to be a photographer for as long as I can remember. From entering photos in 4-H fairs as a kid, to winning state competitions in high school (sounds impressive, right? I think I was competing against two other people, but hey, it's still my claim to fame), photography has always been my thing.

For about 10 years, I talked myself out of making it a career and called it a hobby instead. In the meantime, I took a detour into education, spending seven years as a Special Education Teacher and eventually the Director of Special Education at a school in Milwaukee.

But now? I'm chasing the dream full force, and it feels SO good.
